Forest Trek

This started out as a challenge to myself to draw an animal I have little familarity with, hence the red panda.
Sort of moved on to a fantasy set by turning the panda into a giant or the its rider very small.
From there the background became a challenge of its own of sorts. A observation of chinese forest images to get a basic growwth pattern for the trees. Conifer based in this case.
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with how this turned out, considering it could have been quite terrible.
